Saturday saw Emirates Derby Day at Flemington swing into town for the spring racing carnival and for me, it was another opportunity to wear this amazing Brett Morley creation.
I’d planned my outfit when I did my top 5 edit for ASOS on what to wear to the races and although Derby Day is traditionally when you wear black and white I really couldn’t go past this black and red jacard bell skirt. I figured with my blouse, heels, hat and nails I was fitting in with the theme!
It was a great day, I’ve been attending the races now for 10 years and it’s such an honour to be invited along to spend it in style somewhere like the Emirates marquee.
What I’m wearing:
Skirt & blouse: ASOS Premium Midi Bell Skirt and ASOS Blouse with Eyelash Lace Overlay.
Heels: Novo ‘Polly’ heels– thank you Novo for getting these to me at the verrrrrry last minute on Friday!
Clutch: Olga Berg
Bracelet: Mimco
Manicure: Miss Fox
Hat: Brett Morley
Shev Kelly from Napoleon Perdis doing my makeup in the powder room at the Emirates marquee.
It’s always a pleasure seeing Jess from What Would Karl Do because she has such a fashionable, eclectic fashion sense and always looks flawless. This photo is from her blog post Derb Day: First Class, check it out!
My loverly manicure from Miss Fox Melbourne, inspired from photos I saw on @aliciahannanaomi on Instagram.
