Roll up! Roll up! it’s time for Melbourne’s spring racing season!
Saturday saw Sofitel Girl’s Day Out hit Flemington and I found myself in the tranquil surrounds of the Yellowglen Terrace, ideally positioned just past the finishing post with sweeping views of the racecourse.
Melbourne’s most fashionable were out in force, helping to usher in the beginning of spring and everyone’s favourite racing season; an event that, last year alone, generated $31.4 million dollars of spending in Victoria , spending largely dedicated on items worn specifically to look magnificent at the races.
As you can see it was a nice enough day to wear a frock sans jacket, and I chose this number from Chicwish.com.
Open for the duration of the spring racing carnival, guests in the enclosure will be able to enjoy a range of Yellowglen sparkling wines, including a new-to-market single serve bottle illustrated by Samantha Wills, and a Hamptons-inspired cocktail designed by Emma Clapham, while listening to tunes by a resident DJ.
The Yellowglen Terrace will provide a VIP experience for ALL general admission race-goers and will be open to all ticket holders on the following race days:
• #TurnbullStakes Day, presented by Yellowglen – Sunday 4 October
• BECK Caulfield Guineas Day – Saturday 10 October
• Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes Day – Wednesday 14 October
• BMW Caulfield Cup Day – Saturday 17 October
• AAMI Victoria #DerbyDay – Saturday 31 October
• #EmiratesMelbourneCup Day – Tuesday 3 November
• Crown #OaksDay – Thursday 5 November
• #EmiratesStakes Day – Saturday 7 November
