Christian Dior has opened it’s first Melbourne beauty and perfume boutique at Highpoint. Preceeding it’s flagship store opening this week on Collins St, the 74sqm boutique is a grand premiere entirely devoted to Dior fragrances, make-up and skincare.
In a luxurious décor of black lacquer and silver and gold shades, the modern design of the boutique and refined materials from the finest European fabrics reinterpret the codes of the house of Dior.
Emphasising its visionary spirit and the continuity of its heritage, you can experience a range of exclusive services like Dior Backstage studio lashes, the Dior Backstage Pro make-up products and of course your very own perfume experience where you’ll be guided through a process to find your signature scent.
My favourites?
All of the Backstage Pro products are standout because they’re designed for the runway and with photography in mind. I loved the Dior Addict Lip Glow which goes on clear and adapts to bring out your natural lip colour. I truly didn’t believe it until it was applied and within a minute my lips were a rosy pink hue.
The other product that impressed was the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara in black. With long, short lashes I wondered whether this product could curl and lengthen my lashes without the aid of a curler and with just one coat. Well, it could and it did! I love products that do what they say, there is nothing worse than investing in expensive products only to be let down by their performance. I can safely say that the make-up really did stand the Lady Melbourne test- all day wear, a fashion event and cocktails.
