Firstly I have to say, I never thought I’d post a picture of my eyebrows covered in what looks like mud but hey, it’s Lady Melbourne at your beauty service folks!
So I was invited by Theodora’s Beauty Boutique in Hawthorn to come in for a set of lash extensions and a brow tint and sculpt. My usual answer is, ‘Ok but I really don’t have a lot to work with.’ See previous post on getting my brows treaded.
However being a self confessed beauty tragic I’ll never say no to trying something new so off I went. I’ve had my eyelashes extended before by one of Melbourne’s best, Miss Eyelash. I knew what I was in for, but a brow tint? It had never occurred to me to colour my eye brows. Never.
It’s quite simple really, the therapist (in my case Anna who herself has dream like brows and lashes) determines your ideal shade based on your eye colour, skin tone and hair colour and applies the tint for about five minutes. It wipes off and you’re done. Harmless, easy and pain free. As I have blonde colouring and fairly sparse eyebrows, I was told it would darken any smaller hairs and would give my brow a fuller ‘look.’
I was delighted with the results, apparently it will last roughly three weeks, same with the lashes. You’re advised to keep both your brows and lashes away from oil based products and shy away from excessive water use. Don’t touch them, don’t pull them out and avoid wearing mascara if you’d like optimum results. I’ve found since the brow tint I haven’t had to use pencil, but I imagine that will change over the course of the next few weeks.
I loved the whole experience, Anna was expert, exact and the salon was small but clean and efficient.
p.s – on another beauty note, Miss Fox have been looking after my skin with a series of skin peels over the past six months and I’ve got one more to go to finish the treatment. You might recall I wrote about what exactly a skin peel is a while back, but I think the results speak for themselves. My skin is in such great shape, it’s well worth the investment if you’re thinking about it. Thank you Miss Fox!
