Most fashion week’s, I write about Nevenka and it’s for a few reasons: they are a superb Melbourne based label, and I just love lace.
I get all sorts of feedback about their collections, from ‘It looks like a table cloth,’ to ‘Visionary!’
But that’s the beauty of fashion isn’t it? There is literally something out there for every one of us to lust after, desire, purchase and wear with pride?
Anyhow, last night I once again enjoyed watching the detailed lace dresses sweep past, as Nevenka tell us in their own words, “Influenced heavily by her Eastern European heritage, Rosemary (the designer) allows these traditions and techniques from her homeland to guide her but her signature style – luxe bohemian chic that comes from somewhere beyond the usual.”
