Oscar Oscar suggested recently we try a vintage hollywood glamour look or perhaps even an androgynous look as something rather new for Lady Melbourne.
So of course, in keeping with my love of all things ‘dress ups’ I said yes.
Do you like to get out of your comfort zone with a new look? Try something new? Because I don’t colour my hair, it cuts out a lot of what going to the hair dresser is all about. However, it means the team at Oscar Oscar just have to get creative in other ways!
John Stuttered was the stylist for the shoot with all photography by Kate from Honeyrock Photography, here’s how he created the look:
VINTAGE GLAMOUR
“For look one I focused on creating a couture up-style. Hair was prepped with Kérastase Lift Vertige on the roots and Mousse Bouffante on the midlengths and ends. Hair was then blow-dried with a paddle brush. Once dry, I then separated the back section and placed into a tight low pony tail and with the remaining front section I curled the hair using the ghd eclipse styler.
Next I gently brushed over the curls to form finger waves and pinned to create a couture version of a classic up-style. The look was finished with a light spray of Kérastase Gloss Appeal for shine, and Kérastase Laque Couture for hold.”
MASCULINE
“For look 2 I created a severe side part to give Phoebe a more masculine style. To do this the hair was placed in a low pony tail and lightly sprayed with water before applying the Kérastase Touché Finale, a supershine polishing serum which created a wet look. I then sprayed the pony tail with Kérastase Spray á Porter and then blowdried the product in on a low setting to create a messy beachy affect. I finished the style with the Kérastase Laque Couture micro-mist hairspray for hold.”
