Julie Goodwin – not the Masterchef – is a Melbourne based couturier who’s work has been featured on red carpets the world over. The Emmy’s? No problem. Her approach to to dress women of all shapes, but to dress them specifically for their shape. There’s no ‘apple’ or ‘pear’ shaped people in her lexicon, it’s more about your unique shape and how she can create something exactly to your measurements.
I took her some inspiration for a Derby Day look, knowing that she wouldn’t want to copy it exactly, but rather would look at my body and adapt the design and construct.
The result is this beautiful polka dot tulle number you can see below, complete with pleating from Specialty Pleaters – you might remember I got a tour of their incredible factory.
Now I need another occasion to wear this beauty, anyone getting married you know of?
