It’s exciting when you discover a new label or brand isn’t it? Not that Preen by Thornton Bregazzi is a new label, rather it’s new to me. I’ve never really been able to afford it and have just admired from afar. That was until Shopbop.com had 70% off and this beautiful blouse suddenly entered my orbit.
The catch: it was final sale with no returns. As I’d never even tried on a piece of Preen before, I didn’t know what size I would be and if it would fit correctly. There was one of theses blouse left in a large and so I thought, worst case scenario it will be too big and I can alter it, or I can sell it online.
While it’s a little bit generous and I could have happily fit into a medium, I’m quite happy with the outcome for such a gamble. And now I just want to own more of this beautiful brand!
Preen By Thornton Bregazzi was founded in 1996 by Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi, built on an aesthetic of darkly romantic and effortlessly modern shapes. Most collections include a deconstructed floral dress, whether it’s an asymetrical hem line or cut away shoulders. Floral silk blouses with frill details, layered skirts and print outer wear – it’s like they entered my imagination and created the clothes of my dreams.
I’ll be stalking future Shopbop.com sales and of course am now following them on Instagram so I don’t miss a beat. Just gotta wait for that 70% off to swing round again 😜
