A couple of weeks back I worked on a little project with Farfetch.com for VAMFF. They sent me along to report on what I saw at the parades and you can read a great piece over on their style guide that includes some of my fellow fashion blogging folk.
For me the Romance Was Born collection was just superb, but I also love what Ginger & Smart put forward – the two brands having a completely different outlook but equally enchanting.
Ginger & Smart have always been about structure, with extreme attention to detail in the finish. It’s a popular choice for the fashionable corporate warrior with suiting, fitted dresses and well executed trousers as go-to pieces. Their collection at VAMFF titled ‘Tainted Love’ was no different but this time round they used feather embellishment, metallics and corsetry belts to compliment the structured silhouette.
I enjoyed it and I enjoyed wearing this frock even more, getting a little thrill when I saw their collection glide down the runway. It’s always a pleasure to attend fashion week, and this year was no exception.
