Well that was a slow start to 2017 – are you still there?! I went away before Christmas to a place with intermittent internet and for the first couple of days I was in a panic and then I guess I just…relaxed. For the first time in years it was actually pleasant to be away from the digital world (normally I won’t go away if there’s no internet connection) just to recharge and reassess the year ahead.
And now I’m back, I found myself at So Frenchy So Chic this weekend just gone as a guest of Renault who picked us up and wined and dined us all day in the surrounds of Werribee Park and Mansion. It’s was a delightful gig, I’m not going to lie.
It was my first time at SFSC despite the fact it’s been going strong now for six years. I’d heard about it over and over and though – “why haven’t we been to this awesome event before?” You could tell there were plenty of people in the know who had expertly set up their picnics in shade under trees, by a pond or right smack bang before the stage.
The vibe was what you could feel the most – relaxed, harmonious and friendly. Kids were very welcome, fresh flower crowns were in abundance and everyone was encouraged to enjoy the joie de vivre. There was so much space and grass to stretch out.
I certainly did!
