When I came across runway images of Piccone.Piccone on Pinterest, my first thought was: how come I’ve never heard of this brand?
Sicilian Designer Salvatore Piccione studied fashion design at Istituto Europeo Di Design in Rome, graduating in 2008. He went on to work with Mary Katrantzou as fashion and print designer which says a lot given the importance print has to the brand.
With special projects in collaboration with Swarovski, Topshop, and Celine, I again asked myself how on earth this uh-mazing label had escaped my radar!
This collection is actually from February, with their SS 2017 collection having just been shown in Milan. And I’ll get to that as it’s equally as special as what you see below, but right now I’d just like to focus on what I think is a clever use of print, to tell a story. If you look close enough rather than a floral motif, you’ll find cars, love hearts, lipstick, hands and even a house.
I absolutely love it and I’m excited to watch what Piccone.Piccone does next. You can view the entire collection here.
