I first spied this bag in the window of a shop and literally stopped walking and made the decision to buy it there and then. I hadn’t felt it, seen the price tag or even considered whether it would suit my wardrobe. I just loved it and I still do, trouble is – I never seem to wear it.
Here’s the decision making process: I select an outfit to complement the bag, decide I’m happy and then usually at the last minute dash back upstairs and ditch it. And I have no idea why. Does this happen to you?!
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve stopped impulse buying and consider more the purchases I make, still injecting a bit of vintage flair and of course wearing designer pieces here and there. So maybe it was the shock of the impulse, with no time to consider why I bought it that has me looking lovingly at it in my wardrobe, but never letting it see the light of day.
Maybe like making or breaking a habit, I’m going to have to have to force myself to wear it for day, or even a week and see how it works. Actually that’s not a bad idea for the blog, perhaps I will make myself wear it for a week and photograph it with all my outfits. Would you be interested in seeing the results? Surely I’m not alone in this, have you done the same?
