I’ve had some lovely things come across my desk lately so when I thought about the posts it would take to showcase everything, I reasoned it would be far easier in one bumper post!
So: Here’s some really lovely products for babies, for mums, for non-mums, for people that are looking for gifts – really there is something below for everyone.
Products For Babies
Aroma Baby’s tag line is ‘Pure, Gentle, Organic.’ Developed by Melbourne’s Catherine Cervasio, the brand aims to provide natural and organic baby skin care and with 20 years in the industry has won more awards that I can list here. I’m looking forward to giving it a go once the baby arrives – that said many adults rave about the products as well.
Billie Goat Soaps were created in 2005, by a mum whose son was suffering from eczema. Concerned about long-term steroid use on her little boy’s skin, she believed there had to be another way, and started researching the benefits of natural eczema treatments, including goats milk.
Products For Mums
Nutrimetics has some great options for tired skin, whether you’re a mum or not. I’ve written, or rather raved about how much I love the Ultra Care SPF 50+ Day Lotion before, having used it now for about two years on my skin. It works!
Also in the Ultra Care range are products that target the visible signs of ageing like the Tight Firm & Fill Face Serum or the Platinum DNA Cellular Age Repair Crème. In my case I can’t wait to use the Nutri-Rich Oil on my pregnant skin and beyond, goodness knows anything that will help soothe the skin is just what I need right now.
Nu’trir has been carefully formulated without nasty chemicals. Instead, they’re brimming with natural, nutrient rich vitamins, antioxidants, and essential oils to feed and nourish your skin.
I’ve been using them during pregnancy and am pleased to say that they are safe, great quality and quite luxurious in terms of ingredients and feeling. The Hydrating Mineral Day Cream is my favourite product and I love that I’m able to look up all of the ingredients for each individual product on their website.
Gifts and Products for Baby
100% cotton woven, cot blanket from Sheridan. A little bit of luxury, need I say more?!
Your Parents Are Cool – Written by Giulia Ferrari & Illustrated by Sarah Hankinson makes a humorous, relevant and realistic comparison between life pre and post baby. I’m not at post baby yet, but can definitely relate to the ‘pre’ descriptions!
Everyone remembers Little Golden Books right? I’m thrilled that they’re still available and love the retro addition to the nursery.
What Jane Knits provides kits that contain yarn, needles, pattern and a link to a video tutorial specific to your kit. So you can create beautiful products for your baby, or yourself aimed at a beginners level. I’m so looking forward to making a little poncho for the new arrival.
Picturaline creates books that are complex colouring pieces of art. This is ‘Aurelian’ by Ian Andrews, but they have a range of titles like history, urban and fantasy. I’m completing this eight page book for the nursery with water colour pencils so the end results is ‘painterly’ rather than ‘coloured-in.’ Shall update the blog once it’s done!
This one’s for mum! Simply Nordic have the most beautiful range of porcelain pearl jewellery by Danish designer Louise Krag. This is the ‘Three Pearl’ necklace that comes in a range of colours, and is really kind of gentle and gorgeous for the mother-to-be.
