Over the years I’ve written about the various incarnations of my picture wall, in that it shifts and changes with my life. Where ever I travel I pick up something to add, friends are always giving me prints and of course there’s all the gems I find in op-shops.
I’ve added some new Fornasetti prints of late which are becoming quite a favourite. Fornasetti saw opera singer Lina Cavalieri’s face in a magazine and was so inspired, it informed his work for the rest of his career.
“What inspired me to create more than 500 variations on the face of a woman?” asks Italian designer, Piero Fornasetti of himself. “I don’t know,” he admits, “I began to make them and I never stopped.”
