I was remarking to a friend upon my return from a glorious weekend in the country how well one sleeps when away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Granted I live inner city near a bar and venue packed road so cars, trams and general human noise are par for the course. You get used to it, but I couldn’t believe how deeply I slept – in total silence and darkness – only to be awoken by warbling magpies and the most magnificent blazing deep red sunrises.
