Yours truly was relaxing over a delicious coffee when she received notice that something fashionably exciting was brewing at VAMFF headquarters. Duly curious, I popped on some sunnies to combat a bout of glorious Melbourne sunshine and headed down to investigate.
“VAMFF, in response to the needs of its guests and social media, have elevated row B at this year’s festival,” festival CEO Graeme Lewsy declared.
“B is the new A!”
“The feedback we had was that people seated in row B couldn’t see the catwalk and were looking at the backs of people’s heads – no good for instagram!” he said.
In a move that will no doubt please bloggers, digital media enthusiasts and general fashion lovers, row B is being tipped as a better view than A, and just goes to show how important social media is to a festival like VAMFF.
The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival kicks off tomorrow, Saturday 14 March. It runs until 22 March and includes all manner of exciting and inspirational events. Book your tickets quick sticks to avoid disappointment.
