“Get naked. Get Dirty. Get Rough. Get Clean.”
That’s Frank Body’s tag line and in a nutshell, it’s absolutely true. This is a simple product and I love that it’s truthful rather than full of the usual beauty industry bluster.
So what is it?
Frank is an all-natural coffee scrub for your body- an exfoliator that targets skin conditions such as cellulite, stretch marks, eczema, acne, and psoriasis. It’s made with fresh coffee grinds and other natural ingredients in Melbourne, Australia. I tried the cacao version, it has 200gm of cacao added but you can read all about the ingredients on their product page.
It basically works like this:
- Get in the shower and lightly wet the skin. I found that it was easier to turn the shower off so that it didn’t wash off the scrub.
- It’s recommended that you take two small handfuls of the scrub and cover either target areas, or all over. That’s all you’ll need, a little goes a long way.
- You can either leave it on for 5-10 minutes (I know, what are you going to do covered in coffee for 10 minutes) or wash it off after massaging it in, but if you can leave it on for even 5 minutes, you will smell like coffee and cocoa for the rest of the day.
- Rinse.
- Clean the shower. As you can see in the pictures, and as per their tag line this is dirty business and you’ll end up with the scrub everywhere. I don’t know how it got on every surface of my shower, but I did. That said, all you do is rinse it off with water, and it smells diviiiiiiiiine.
So does it work?
Having only used it twice, I can’t see any significant changes in my skin, but then I didn’t really have any serious problems to begin with. What I can tell you is that it leaves your skin incredibly soft, smelling AMAZING that will last all day. I used it in the morning and at dinner I could still smell the sweet scent of coffee and cacao on my arms. Who sits at the dinner table smelling their arms?! I couldn’t help it.
I LOVED this product, its vegan, not tested on animals (only ‘babes’ they tell us), from Melbourne, has lasting results and….have I mentioned the smell?
Get behind Frank, I’m sure you’ll love getting dirty.
