What a busy day I had yesterday at DFO Essendon. Aside from my usual bargain hunting (more on that later) I was there to check out the finalists for the DFO Shopper of The Year.
Do you think you could pull together a head to toe outfit , including shoes for $200? I gave it a go and ended up with this monochromatic ensemble from Mossman that came in just under $200. The pants, top and blazer are new season, but with 20% off store wide I managed it nab the whole look under budget.
It didn’t leave a lot of room for shoes, but I’m a determined shopper and was sure with enough bargain hunting I’d find a pair.
Tony Bianco had 20% off storewide, and on already reduced items there were leather heels for as little as $40. Amazing! You can’t go wrong with a classic, black pump, and while these babies didn’t match my budget they were still a great buy at $112. I went for classic leather with an almond toe for…$40. Can hardly believe those numbers go in the same sentence as ‘leather heels.’
Anyhow, what a competition it was, eventually 50 finalists were whittled down to two, so congratulations to Kristyn and John the winners from Essendon DFO.
They’ll now go into the final stages where their outfits will compete to win the ultimate prize of a $5000 shopping spree! Make sure you get behind our local finalist when voting opens.
And just to entice you to get voting, there’s a neat little Instagram competition running where you could win one of 10 $100 DFO gift vouchers. Follow @DFOEssendon to find out more and get snapping!
