The Gardener took these photos, and they are just how I like them. Late afternoon sun, deep, long shadows and a filmic quality.
We work together with such synergy these days that I tell him the fashion story I want to tell, find the natural light I’m after and he does the rest. We have a time of day we call ‘magic hour’ where the sunlight is just right. I don’t like flash photography, and I’ve never had the equipment to light my own photography so over the years have learnt to shoot in natural light. It just so happens it’s his forte, so together I just love the imagery we make and the stories we can tell.
