Annie has managed to grow her business in a fickle retail landscape without large financial backing instead treading carefully and strategically.
If the launch yesterday was anything to go by, the women of Melbourne are still very happy to spend money on shoes and I think it’s wonderful that it’s on Australian designed, made in Italy leather shoes.
This collections’ winning aspect has to be the use of metallic leather in silver, red, electric blue, hot pink, rose and yellow gold. It really pulls everything together with either a sandal, heel or loafer so depending on your tastes you can wear it as an accent or as a main statement.
Taking inspiration from the international film and music festival scene where evening and daywear collide to create an eclectic fusion of sparkle-street chic, it features contrasting covered buckles, tie up sandals, tassel treatments, and pin-punched loafers.
