So here is this weeks installment of ‘Today’s Face,’ a new beauty segment on Lady Melbourne that really came about because you guys seem to love beauty as much as I do!
If you missed it you can catch last weeks here, otherwise lets crack on with today’s face which is more of a fun, evening look.
You’d already be aware that I do love Melbourne based beauty brand Natio. Aside from various BB creams that I favour, I also don’t mind this Natio Pure Mineral Foundation for a day time or night time look. It’s light but with fabulous coverage, and because its mineral it breaths and looks luminous. I really love it.
When I’m applying eye liner as above, I always start at the outside of my eye line, and draw inwards. I always try and get as close to the lash line as possible.
Then below I’ve used the smudge tool on this Sephora eye liner, to blend the khol. For this look it works quite well, if you were going to attempt a cat eye look then you would skip the blending part.
After I’ve blended the eye liner, I then take this gorgeous blue shadow called ‘My Boyfriends Jeans ‘ by Sephora and cover over it. This makes the pigment really pop and the colour appear deeper. Then all I do is blend it upwards towards my brows, the colour getting lighter as I go.
I have long lashes, but they are straight so I’ve been using a primer now for as long as I can remember. As I mentioned in my previous post, I love L’Oreal Double Extension mascara. It’s not fancy, but I really love it for my lashes.
Just one or two sweeps of this NARS blush in SIN. I’m now on the NARS bandwagon and I love the light but luminous pigment of their products.
I discovered Vera Moore cosmetics while I was in New York, and picked up this creme lippy in ‘Fuscia.’ I love the colour range and consistency of their lipsticks, this is creamy with great colour and staying power.
So there you go, another look inside what I use and how I achieve what I think are pretty simple beauty looks. I love makeup but I don’t want to spend hours and hours putting it on, so for me its all about great products with staying power.
I’m planning on some posts around hair, but if you have anything you’d like to see in the ‘Today’s Face’ post please feel free to share!
