Years ago I used to be really experimental with my hair, this was a time before digital cameras mind you so I don’t have that many photos but none the less I’d tried it all. Pixie cut, every colour you can imagine, blunt bob, blunt fringe, I chopped and changed it all the time.
Then I decided to grow it a couple of years ago and I did what I usually detest in others: I became emotionally attached to my hair. I couldn’t bear to part with it, I even became paranoid about getting a trim. ‘Now you’re only going to take ONE INCH OFF OK?!’ I’d hear myself saying.
It’s really stupid, in the main part because it’s hair and it will grow back. I’m shaking my head as I write this.
So I made the snap decision to chop it all off, rang Oscar Oscar to make an appointment and voila: a new me.
I went to Kristie at their new Highpoint salon and I think she may have been more excited than me at the prospect but she was right when she said before I had even had my hair washed, ‘You will love it.’
Thank you Kristie, I do!
