It’s really quite cold here in Melbourne at the moment, in fact it’s more than quite cold it’s a whole lotta freezing!
I bought this coat in Prague a couple of years ago from Promod (the photos are a bit squishy, I remember being in an internet cafe with no photoshop so I had to do my photos in Microsoft Paint or something). Anyhow it is so incredibly warm that I don’t get to wear it that often. Melbourne certainly gets cold in winter, but as you get so used to layering here you don’t tend to need a heavy overcoat like you do in say, London or parts of Europe. Plus, it never snows inner city.
I do like it when I get to take it out for a spin, it means that winter is well and truly here and it brings back fond memories from traipsing around Prague. Do you have travel/clothing memories? So many of the clothes I’ve bought overseas have a little story attached to them.
What I’m wearing:
Beret: Grandmother Melbourne knitted it for Mother Melbourne, now it’s mine. Awwww!
Scarf: Op-shop
Coat: Promod, purchased in Prague
Merino sweater: Another op-shop score
Velvet leggings/pants: KMart a couple of years ago
Boots: ASOS
Leather Bag: Vince Camuto, Mother Melbourne bought it for me in New York last year.
p.s- I don’t know if you can see it but its raining in these photos and I have to thank Mother Melbourne who took them for me as we scurried towards the car after lunch. Good on you mum!
