Breakfast. At Tiffany’s.
That was the invitation that came through to celebrate and announce the winner of the 2012 LMFF National Designer Award supported by Tiffany & Co. and The Weekend Australian magazine. It was also to launch a their new range called Rubedo 1837 range which celebrates the year Tiffany was founded (1837) with a new metal they have created.
The competition this year was fierce with the field including Michael Lo Sordo, Magdalena Valvevska, Lui Hon, Above Label and the winner, Christopher Esber who took out a prize pool worth more than $75 000.
It was an honour to be invited to this event that celebrates designers in their first year of business who have the potential to contribute to the future growth of the Australian fashion industry.
