Beer, wine, beer, wine, beer or wine: the choice is so common these days but I know you have never logged on to Lady M to find common or normal. I love a good cocktail, I’ve been sharing my happy Friday drinks with you for years and more recently with Twitpics of me sipping away of a Friday evening.
I had the pleasure of drinking some deeeelightful cocktails last weekend at Caulfield races put together with Schweppes soda and it got me thinking about why I don’t make more cocktails at home. I found this recipe on their website for a Tom Collins (hello Mad Men fantasies) and it’s what I’m going to try and create for myself this weekend.
Care to join me?

You will need:
45ml gin
Lemon cut into wedges

I’ll also be heading down to the Schweppes Cocktail Revolution station domination at Southern Cross Station on Thursday 20th October where I’ll blog live from the event. But what is this station domination you may ask?
From October 12th through to November 4th, taking in the whole Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival Southern Cross Station will play host to the cocktail revolution crate bar where you can go along and…
-Try out an augmented reality experience, picking one piece of fruit and one mixing product. The computer recognises these items and creates and mixes these together in front of the consumer to create a cocktail. The recipe is then printed for the consumer to take away.
– Photos from the Schweppes Cocktail revolution Crate bar will be uploaded to FB, users can tag themselves and tag to win daily prizes of Schweppes Cocktail goodies and major prizes of hosting their own Schweppes mixing party
– Schweppes will be giving away mixing bags with a Schweppes mixer, cocktail recipe card and piece of fruit to get mixing at home.
