Ah breakfast, at Tiffany’s no less. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the blog would take me there but last Thursday I was invited by the store as a guest to launch their new Melbourne fit-out. I am not a ‘Tiffany’ girl, in that it’s not a brand that generally appeals to me aesthetically(I love big and over-sized and big and over-sized in Tiffany costs the same as a house) but with that in mind I am a curious soul who is devoted to fashion so off I went.
Truly folks, it was one of the most glamorous affairs I have ever attended in my life. From the Tiffany horse and carriage or customised coffee stand upon arrival to every detail taken care of at every turn- book ends, picture frames, vintage books on Tiffany adorning coffee tables I was in sensory overload aka HEAVEN.
The food was something else and as you can see below the coffee and mini cakes in the style of a Tiffany box were just delightful. I wonder if they have every considered opening a cafe selling said delights, I’ve no doubt it would be the hottest coffee house in town.
If you are in Melbourne it’s worth a visit if you are not only a fan of Tiffany but jewellery in general, interior design, lighting and glass work and heck, even floristry. The Singapore orchids had me staring in wonderment for a good 5 mins when I walked in- again, sensory overload.
Truly a memorable moment in my blogging career.
There are these divine little nooks set around the two level store where I suppose you can sit and browse or decide whether you will get one carat or two. I noted that no two spots are the same, every vintage book, picture frame, lamp or flower arrangement were individual.
Hand blown glass chandeliers are a signature of the store designed by local artist Dean Phillips.
This diamond necklace was flown in specially from New York for the event. Wowsers!
Cheryl from BusinessChic took this picture of me with the petite coffee’s and gorgeous Tiffany box like shortbread. My favourite touch to the day.
When we left we were all given a little gift bag. I thought it may have just had promotional material inside, but no, this is Tiffany of course! I discovered this gorgeous necklace which I’m giving to Lois Lane who is a huge Tiffany fan.
