Samantha Wills reached out to Aussie fashion bloggers recently with a proposal: A bloggers edit of key pieces from the Portraits of Dusk collection inspired by New York sun sets.
With that in mind and once I had some time to wear the pieces I knew that sunlight was going to be key in my photos and how I wanted to wear my Samantha Wills pieces. Natural sunlight is integral to what I do on the blog and my photography so I felt an affinity with the theme of the collection. I like to photograph in early morning light, or at dusk when you have to chase the last of the rays before they retire for the night.
I also like a good story too, and so the idea was born that I’d be on a glamorous adventure taking, a train to who knows where. At the eleventh hour Sarah from A Little Somethin’ Somethin’ came through with these gorgeous vintage suitcases so a big thank you to her. The Gardener as usual put up with my demanding ways and took these photos so it also wouldn’t have come together without his help.
If you’d like to see me take out the title you can check out the Samantha Wills Facebook page and ‘like’ my photos, hope you enjoy coming on this little journey with me.
