It’s my first day of RAFW here in Sydney but it is actually day 3 of the official schedule hence the title of the blog post. I have some great parade content to share with you from today’s shows and even though its early on I can safely say that a continuing trend straight off the catwalks is white. Shoes, hats, apparel: I’ve seen it in almost every show.
What I find equally(if not more) interesting is the trends I’m seeing on the street and people watching. The amount of real fur has been staggering, not only because its 20 and I wonder if the gals sporting the gilets, jackets, shrugs and coats are not sweltering but also because there doesn’t seem to be any moral or ethical consideration.
I’m also seeing fluro accents everywhere, bellayage for the hair, platform or wedges for shoes and a continuing nod to the 70’s vibe that we’re seeing in a lot of interational publications as well.
Plenty more to come but here is what I’m wearing for my first day…
I’m wearing one of my O’Clock watches who are my official watch brand partner for the week. I have a few colours- see how many you can spot! I also need to give a plug to HTC who have provided there new HTC HD7 to get me through the week. Although it only arrived yesterday morning I’m already twittering and facebooking like a pro( that might have more to do with my social media addiction however)
I picked up this silver Gorman bomber jacked from Wolf Vintage in Carlton one day after lunch at Tiamos. My pants are from Eroll St Salvos in North Melbourne.
