For as long as I can remember, I have made my own clothes and accessories if I couldn’t find what I wanted in the shops. Even when I was a little girl I would appropriate things- dog collars, pieces of fabric, craft supplies to compliment my outfit. There is something so satisfying about wearing something that you made yourself. Do any of your get that feeling?I think it’s why I got into making accessories in the first place, just because I was doing it for myself anyhow and my friends liked what I made.
Anyhow, this is a new necklace that I made out of an old pair of earrings would you believe. Inspired by this picture of Coco Chanel I thought the large gold medallions would work better on a necklace than hanging off my ears.
