Well folks, here it is: I’ve made it to 1000!
This post has been published live from an event I’m hosting to celebrate my actual 1000th blog post because why wouldn’t you celebrate a milestone like that right?!
I thought as you can’t all be there in person I’d share with you a little speech that has been made to the attendees….
I see my blog as an evolving journey and one where I’ve met and collected friends along the way. Some people here tonight have known me much longer than the blog was around, but they’d probably be able to tell you that Lady Melbourne was lurking around in my personality before the blog got to anywhere near what it is now.
I think it’s important to always give back and to say thanks to those around you and really that’s what tonight’s celebration is all about. The people in this room who have given so generously to make this happen for me are what continues to inspire me to keep blogging on a daily basis as well as the thousands of readers out there from around the world.
I realize that I’m privileged to do what I love every single day, and although its been a hard slog and years of tapping away into the wee hours without any financial reward(!) its all paid off when I look around the room and see what Lady Melbourne has become today.
I can’t imagine my life now without the blog and do believe that one day I’ll be an elderly lady that still blogs about the world she sees around her, and as long as I have the people that fill this room tonight in my life I think the possibilities are endless.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
All photos in this post have been lovingly taken by my amazing assistant tonight Bee. You should check out her blog here.
